Meet Giorgia O’Donoghue
Giorgia is a PhD Researcher in Theology and Literature at King’s College London. Since 2022, she has accumulated over 600 hours of private tutoring experience, specialising in English Literature and Language, History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies across Primary to A-Level curricula.
Most notably, Giorgia possesses extensive expertise in tutoring students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as those managing complex chronic health conditions. Her approach is informed by her own lived experience, as she has been diagnosed with Dyslexia and Dyspraxia, and needed an Education and Healthcare Plan throughout her secondary education due to her diagnoses of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS).
Education Made Accessible For All
Personalised tutoring helps identify exactly where a student’s strengths are, creating tailored lessons that focus on those areas in order to build confidence in other areas. This approach improves understanding and memory, and boosts confidence and motivation by matching the student’s speed and interests.
Moreover, individually tailored instruction can adapt dynamically to progress, ensuring that advanced learners are sufficiently challenged, while those requiring additional support receive the necessary attention. This level of precision in teaching methodology ultimately cultivates a deeper and more meaningful educational experience, transcending the limitations of generic classroom instruction.
In a competitive academic environment, the bespoke nature of personalised tutoring equips students with strategies and skills aligned with their personal goals, thereby maximising their potential and facilitating long-term success.
